About Marcus Mckenzie
I have held senior management positions in the food-processing industry in both Sydney and Melbourne for more than 30 years, before embarking on a consultancy business from 2013-2018 where I assisted Australian corporations seeking to set up operations in the Philippines by being the liaison between the relevant national government departments and local government officials. In 2020 , through the support of the community was honored to be elected as a Councilor of Wellington Shire and hopefully make a difference to the wonderful residents of this Shire.In 2018 , I became an authorized mentor for small business through the not-for-profit organization, the Small Business Mentoring Service and in 2022 was elected as a non-executive Board member.With my wife Cherrie we currently operate a successful short term accommodation in the historic surrounds of Gowrie House named Gowrie Guest House & Hampton Cottage.I have been a member of Rotary since 2019 and current President as well as being on the Tarra Festival Committee.
