What is work, is it 9 till 5, does it mean climbing the corporate ladder, time away from your family? For me, I believe work and life can live in harmony, time with family while focused on being an efficient, productive member of the corporate world. We made the decision as a family back in 2019 to sell everything and hit the road, initially this was just for a 12 month ‘big lap’ but then COVID came along and everything changed.Everyone started working from home and my perception on work / life balance was redefined. In 2020 Medibank called me while I was in Broome, WA and asked if I was interested in returning to work, remotely, to lead a large program of work that had just come in. It looked like an interesting program of work so I dived in and the rest is history! I am still travelling around Australia, with my family, in a caravan while working in my capacity as Head of Delivery for Medibank. We have been doing this for over four years now and the adventure seems limitless.Medibank is reinventing work and have been so supportive to make this life adventure for our family possible, it is great to see organisations re-thinking what work means for the future! We also run a Mobile Vet Clinic (@vet.in.a.van) offering services to remote and indigenous communities around Australia.
