This film went on to be one of the most successful dance films in the ever made. Mission Control Entertainment was twice over headed at MGM/UA and has just independently released, theatrically, the stoner comedy "GROW HOUSE" featuring Malcom McDowell, Snoop Dogg, Lil' Duval, Martin Starr, Faizon Love, and more.As a writer Marcus has sold seven screen plays that he has written or co written to the Studio’s including FOX Searchlight, MGM/UA, New Line and Lions Gate. Currently Marcus is Producing several projects including the Stan Lee and Bill Macdonald created "Arch Alien".

As a Commissioner, Marcus was actively involved in many pioneering California State film initiatives, such as the very successful “Film California First Program” and the “The STAR program" (aka the State Theatrical Arts Resources), etc. Some of the more well known Commissioners Marcus served with over the years were Clint Eastwood, director Bill Duke, Fresno Mayor and former actor Alan Autry.

While Producing with his Absolute Entertainment/Film’s banner Marcus developed many projects for stars ranging from Jennifer Lopez (“Carmen”- Universal), Ice Cube (“All about the Benjamin’s “- New Line), and Bernie Mack (Deadbeat Dad Detective- MGM/UA). Most notable though is the cult classic “3 Strikes” (MGM/UA) written and directed by co-creator of the “FRIDAY” franchise and collaborator on the Grand Theft Auto Series (Rockstar Games) Mark “DJ POOH” Jordan. “3 Strikes” had a who’s who cast of Faizon Love, David Allen Grier, E-40 and launched the career of Oscar winner Mo'Nique.

EMI Records Group North America was a collection of labels owned by Thorn EMI. It included Capital Records and many others. When promoted to Vice Presidents, Marcus was one of the youngest at the record label conglomerate. Marcus personally over saw the Marketing and Promotion, as well as day to day relationship, of many Grammy nominated and Grammy winning, gold and platinum selling music acts. These acts included Arrested Development, GangStarr, Lords of the Underground, Digable Planets and D’Angelo to name a few. He was also tasked with overseeing the West Coast office of the record label, which housed many different genre departments, as well as the video department.
