Managed a rainbow trout farm specifically to grow, harvest, and replace trout as quickly as possible. Ordered feed and oxygen as needed. Calculated daily feeding rates. Weighed fish by volume and calculated biomass monthly. Maintained all raceways, equipment, electric fencing and living areas. Encouraged employee work efficiency and relayed employee work time to main office weekly.

Collected fishing location, species specific, and catch rate data while onboard commercial fishing vessels for NOAA.

Worked as a temporary field tech 6 months on 6 months off. Work included capturing, tracking and observing moose, wolves, black bears and beluga whales. Also spent time capturing and counting salmon.

Captured and added GPS radio collars to cougars. Uploaded cougar track logs to GIS software. Used cougar track logs to locate previous kill sites and confirm predated species. Data were ultimately used to suggest that cougars are not preying upon cattle.

Captured and added GPS radio collars to female black bears and ear tags to all black bears. Data were collected to determine age structure, home range, and population estimates of black bears across a 144sq/mi study area.

Used trail cameras for mark recapture study to determine buck population estimates. Captured and radio collared bucks to determine home range. Collected scat and vegetation samples to determine overall food preference and availability.

Collected data supporting habitat assessments of threatened bull trout populations. Data collection methods included stream snorkeling, Floy and PIT tagging, electrofishing, dissection, diet analysis, and stream habitat surveys.

Collected data on trout and non-game fish distributions in remote Southern Appalachian streams. Monitored trout populations using three pass depletion methods. Data were used to color code remote streams according to fish species present.
