As part of the Afghanistan criminal justice - corrections & detentions I provided advice and guidance to the rebuild of the Afghan prison infrastructure with regard to the training and development of Afghan Prison Service staff.

During an eighteen year career in HM Prison Service from Officer to Operational Manager I have worked with all aspects of prisoner from juvenile - young offender - female estate to adult including Cat A and Exceptional High Risk Cat A including those held under the Terrorism Act following attacks on the UK's national security.My main strength was working within the Security function as a successful Operational Security & Operations Manager at HMP Woodhill in the High Security Estate overseeing Security - Physical, Dynamic, Strategic, Procedural and Developing inc Protective Witness and secondment to Extremist Monitoring Unit (EMU) the management of intelligence - intelligence systems - RIPA - CHIS - intelligence matrix.Managing within High Security my responsibilities also included DST - highly successful Dog Section both Passive & Active for detection of drugs, mobile phones, arms & explosives and illegally brewed alcohol in the High Security Estate & Physical Education.Control & Restraint Instructor with a vast experience in local & national incidents, decision making under often hostile and violent conditions - national staff training at Advanced level and experienced POELT Tutor.Skills involve budget management, strategic planning, dynamic - physical & procedural security, national security audits, intelligence sourcing, Professional Standards including Corruption Prevention within a Government workplace underpinning work of high confidential content subject to the official secrets act, team building & service delivery above and beyond the required standard receiving national recognition in a number of Butler Trust Awards for Security & Operations Management.Other areas of experience include working with Sex Offenders within a Therapeutic Community at HMP Grendon to large London locals.
