Working with a multitude of clients, my job deals with the technical aspect of work which ranges from day-to-day IT tasks for a client to an installation of a new network.9ine are a leading education consultancy providing independent leadership and support in the development and implementation of mobile learning strategies for schools, colleges and universities within EMEA. 9ine provides schools, academies, colleges and universities with transformational change services when developing new and established technologies. 9ine's objective is to support education organisations to raise attainment, aspirations and engagement through the effective use of technology. Working in partnership 9ine provides education leaders ownership to drive change and improve the use and perception of technology, raising confidence amongst users and ultimately improving outcomes for learners. Each of 9ine's education clients have their own individual lever for change, this could be the need to upgrade or replace their IT architecture, a new capital build project / refurbishment of existing buildings or the development of a new 1:1 or BYOD device scheme to support mobile learning. Being independent allows 9ine to take an individual and tailored approach to solving our clients challenges or strategic change. We do not sell any IT hardware or software, 9ine are vendor neutral and seek to work in partnership with each of our clients to ensure we develop a successful plan or solution.

As a Junior Technical Consultant I assisted clients with the technical aspect of work. I helped with installing network/computer equipment and also advised on the best solution for any situation.For 9 months of my placement, I was in the position of Network Manager for Milestone Academy, a large, Ofsted outstanding SEN school and a client of 9ine. I enjoyed my time there and learned multiple skills including self management, meeting experience and liaising with suppliers to help improve teaching and learning and maintaining momentum in the school day.

On any given day, I was required to respond to BAU requests from the helpdesk at any of the three sites (Leigh Technology Academy, Longfield Academy and Wilmington Academy). I maintained computer equipment and dealt with customer requests for their I.T needs.

I was required to stock shelves with food products, serve customers on the till, solve and deal with customer enquiries, and oversee the receipt of goods being delivered.
