Also served as the state's FOIA officer & Privacy advisor; worked with the regulatory requirement for electronic records management and HIPPA.

Deployed to Iraq as an Army signal officer. Primarily responsible for developing staff and individual work priorities and determining resource requirements for the battalion communication staff office. Also, served as the Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO) overseeing DoD security policies; managed battalion IT projects and programs by monitoring progress and evaluating outcomes, including migration of software over the DoD network.
