I married the love of my life in 1987 and was enjoying married life and employment in the construction field when God began to move my heart towards vocational ministry. He blessed us with our first child in 1990 and confirmed our call to vocational ministry in 1992. Since I had not grown up with any denominational affiliation, I didn't know what to do to prepare myself for ministry, but My Great King had everything planned out for me. I was given the gift of attending Fruitland Baptist Bible College where I met some of the greatest men I've ever known. After finishing at Fruitland, I attended North Greenville University where, once again, I met great men of faith. During my years of school I pastored at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Rutherfordton, NC where I honestly thought I would live out my days as their pastor. But, in January 1999, God moved me to Hull's Grove Baptist Church in Vale, NC to begin teaching me the next portion of my journey. During our time at Hull's Grove, we saw God do many wonderful things. In 2008, we became a multisite congregation. In September, 2013, the N.C. Baptist State Convention invited me to work along with them in the task of helping pastors and churches become multiplying churches through church planting. Little did I know that God was preparing me for yet another step in my journey. February, 2014, I met Ron Larson, Send City Missionary for Baltimore, Maryland. The initial meeting was to help connect our church family to Crossover 2014, being held in Baltimore, but God had other plans. This new relationship was used by God to birth a calling in our hearts to move to Baltimore and help the church planting movement God had already begun. So, Chrissie and I moved to Baltimore in August, 2015 as self-funded missionaries to the region. We served in that capacity until June 16, 2016 when I became a fulltime Church Planting Catalyst for NAMB here in Baltimore, MD. Pray for us as we excitedly serve Our King!
