Duties included:Over seeing of all electrical testing/commissioning of plant and equipment including utilities substations and process equipment. Checking and signing of permits, writing of switching programs and performing HV isolation up to 132kV. Commissioning and maintenance testing of HV systems including programming, testing protection relays, switchgear upgrades and routine maintenance testing which included, IR, hipot, VLF and PD testing of switchgear, cables and transformers, switchgear functional testing i.e. circuit breakers, earth switches, control wiring, interlocking and protection relay programmed logic functionality.

Responsible for and overseeing pre-commissionig activities on the LNG plant which consists of a huge number of HV/LV substations i.e. HV/LV switchgear and protections relay testing, transformer testing and all associated equipment testing including all permits, ITR and energisation hand over pack documentation.

This works included programming of protection relays I.e. settings and logic interlocking. Assist engineers with control wiring and interlocking. Liaise with client concerning manpower and completion dates. Compiling of test packs for commissioning / handover e.g. Test plan, test procedures, ITP's, test reports and as built drawings.
