Marcus’ broad planning skills are matched by his broad experience in state and local government, and as a consultant, in both Adelaide and Sydney. He particularly enjoys strategic thinking and policy development through Development Plan Amendments, urban development strategies and master plans, with input from multiple disciplines. Marcus is also widely recognised for his expertise in development assessment and facilitation. He regularly appears as an expert witness in the ERD Court, giving him an excellent understanding of the mechanics of the development legislation and Development Plans.This wide ranging experience has consolidated his skills in consulting with public authorities, special interest groups and the general community. Marcus believes that effective community engagement is not only invaluable to great projects, but it is also personally rewarding for all involved. He is actively involved with a number of professional associations and regularly provides a planner’s perspective on a wide range of development issues at conferences and seminars.
