As part of my placement year I was able to secure a position with Hilton Hotels. I sat within the finance team to assist and research suppliers. Here, I was able to get first hand experience of buying and supporting negotiators in the effective purchase of services and consumables.

My time was spent working on day to day administration including communicating fee structures from local authorities and the private sector. I was tasked with the weekly financial management of supplies to the care home for the benefit of the residents. I learnt a great deal about cost management and balancing business needs with business expenses.
