•Assist the Program Manager for Trans Wellness in the development and implementation of APLA Healths services for TGI patients.•Conduct the Trans Need Assessments with all new patients to identify their needs, and offer support the patient as applicable.•Follow up with patients to ensure their needs are being met and are satisfied with the services they are receiving at APLA Health.•Monitor, update, and sustain program visibility on all social media platforms.•Facilitate training, support groups, and workshops to members of the TGI Community. For example conduct, Trans support groups, HIV/STD 101 training, & PrEP/PEP 101 training.•Facilitate Trans 101/201 trainings for APLA Healths staff and community partners.•Provide health education activities to members of the TGI community.•Help coordinate the design and layout of collateral materials supporting Transgender related services, including but not limited to; program flyers, publicity campaigns, events and other materials as needed.•Develop and implement a yearly community mobilization plan targeting outreach venues.•Work with and continue to develop relationships with key stakeholders and APLA Healths community partners.•Assist APLA Healths Behavioral Health Team in regards to the needs of our TGI patients.•Assist APLA Healths Medical Health Team in regards to the needs of our TGI patients.•Develop relationships with HIV service agencies throughout Los Angeles County that would best assist the TGI community.•Ensure culturally and linguistically appropriate services.•Prepare quantitative and qualitative reports as assigned.•Serve as speaker/facilitator for training and support groups.•Attend community/public meetings as necessary.•Provide counseling and rapid HIV testing to clients seeking those services.•Provide peer mentoring to clients seeking gender transition services.working with electronic health records, eClinicalWorks.

As a Training coordinator, they are responsible for training, tracking, and responding to our adult volunteer-counselors-in-training. Using our online learning platform, Training Coordinators provide structured support and expectations for volunteers, deliver clear and compassionate feedback, and promote volunteer success through rigor and kindness.- Conduct remote role-plays for adult volunteer as well as 988 contracted trainees to reinforce counseling skills-Provide trainees with ongoing, concise, and constructive written feedback-Respond to all written inquiries from trainees during training cohorts via email, and Slack messaging system.-Monitor trainee performance goals and overall progress utilizing salesforce and Litmos in addition to sending constant weekly communication.-Other tasks, duties, or special projects as assigned such as facilitating volunteer orientation workshops, Internal training department skill share presentations, etc.

The Admissions Department is responsible for counseling dog and cat owners looking to rehome their pets. Admissions Coordinators counsel pet owners by phone, Google Voice, email, and in person to help resolve problems, provide re-homing resources, and determine fitness for the shelter adoption program in accordance with the pet adoption center's lifesaving mission and qualifications. When pets are brought to MSRPAC for adoption, it is the Admissions Coordinator's role to accurately collect and report information on the animals entering the shelter. In addition to providing On-the-job training for pets in care. Requires a significant amount of knowledge in animal behavior and handling and experience with Cats and Dogs.-Provide customer service excellence in all interactions with the general public-Counsel clients wishing to admit their pets into the adoption program. This includes fielding calls regarding admissions-Obtains information and history on each owner surrendered animal and Transferred pet from partnered shelters-Provide re-homing resources in accordance with our lifesaving mission-Schedule and confirm appointments, reschedule no shows and/or follow up as needed-Accurate track of all pets relinquished and transferred in.-Input pertinent information into the Shelter Buddy data base and client log-Provide excellent communication, regarding demographics, medical and behavior issues as needed-Perform intake for owner surrender, stray surrender and Animal Transfers-Handle customer complaints/issues and turn them over to Operations Manager as needed-Ensure that all necessary forms are available in adequate supply-Receive payments and process by cash or credit-Ensure that the lobby area, Admissions workspace, and intake room is neat and clean-Assist operations Manager with training of new staffComplete any and all tasks as assigned by management- create and provide enrichment schedules and plans for housed pets.

Review adoption applications, interview prospective adopters, discuss animals’ behavioral and medical records, and make appropriate placements. Advise and educate potential adopters on responsible pet ownership and management of common behavioral issues to help ensure successful and permanent placements. Utilize shelter software program (Shelterbuddy) to generate reports, navigate and edit animals’ profiles on Shelterbuddy, and perform file checks for cruelty and/or neglect of potential adopters. Prepare report cards and other adoption materials for available animals. Coordinate with local PetSmart partners and transport animals to their stores for adoption. Review applications with management to determine approval, if necessary. Assist with resolving post-adoption customer concerns. Assist in selecting animals to be taken to off-site adoption events and attend events as needed. Communicate effectively and professionally with the public, co-workers, volunteers, and management at all times utilizing SLACK Perform any other duties as assigned by the pet adoption manager or Operations manager
