The prototype rig used advanced thermal control strategies by heating unidirectional carbon fibre tape onto a thermoplastic substrate. I was working with internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver a fully operational system to a Blue-Chip Company.- My work involved using Solidworks to design parts, assemblies and the welded fabrication structures for each elevation of the tape laying system including weld specification and stress analysis using FEA. Manufactured detailed drawings to BS8888 using GD&T to ISO1101:2017 with parts lists and weld tables. Also flat pattern drawings for sheet metal fabrications.- I designed safety equipment including spreader bars and lifting beams. I calculated the load rating using FEA and creating rating plates. - I designed a compression moulding tool face, prioritizing manufacturing strategy and DFM techniques. Used surface modelling to generate geometry. Used material with low CTE to reduce the effect of changing the tool face geometry. I then used FEA to simulate the stress and displacement on the tool face to attain a target safety factor for varying temperatures.- On the testing side of the ATL system, I built a heating control strategy for wrapping carbon tape onto the pipe. This involved taking different compaction rollers with varying shore hardness and testing the quality of the bond between the tape and the pipe. Analysis of the carbon was performed through three different sets of data: Interlaminar shear strength (ILSS), Ultrasonic Phased Array analysis and Computerised Tomography (CT) scans. Achieved a 20% improvement in ILSS test results compared to the client and surpassed the performance of The Company's key competitors. Show less

Multiple considerations included height of the stake and phone accessibility over it.- Built a dual head system used on hard surfaces. I was responsible for the welfare of children for 8 weeks and engaging in daily activities with them. I taught them new skills in particular sports of tennis and football. Completed 8 weeks of the same summer camp the following year.
