I started my mechanical career early working summers with my father and his company at an age of 12. After graduating high school, I started running crews in the Industrial Paint Finishing System sector. Supervising the installation of TurnKey systems which included layout and installation of Power Washers, Dry Off, Bake, Cure Ovens, Cooling Tunnels, AHU's, HVAC, Spray booths, Robots, Paint Kitchens, Environmental systems, etc. this also involved working with the design teams to streamline the installation design, corrections in design etc. I have also worked in the United Association of Plumbers and Steam Fitters, attaining my Trades Qualifications for Plumbing. I have worked in the following fields, Petroleum, Nuclear, Retrofitting, Process Piping and New Construction. A good part of all these project involved working / co-ordinating/ directing with all aspects of the Trades, from sheet metal, electrical, structural steel/ Iron workers, Controls to Insulators, either working directly for me or as sub's to the project. Thru my 30 plus years in the mechanical field I have worked throughout the world from Israel and Iran, to the United States, Mexico, South America and Canada.

The following projects I have managed under my watch for Bird Mechanical:Fairview Mall - 3 boiler replacement,Toronto Police Headquarters - Installation of 2 back up generators, with one remote radiator system to roof level, complete with UPS Switch Gear, Backup battery system, exhaust system and piping, College Street and Bay Street, Toronto Dominion Centre, (6 Office Tower Complex)-retrofitting the heating system in Tower 2 Mechanical floors, Domestic Water Pump replacement ,Tower's 2 and 5 . various smaller retrofit projects through out Tower's 1 thru 6, Campbell Soup Headquarters, Canada -Installation of a heat recovery system, added on to boiler systems at Campbell's Soup Plant.The Final 2 years spent supervising, coordinating , and managing the Mechanical Services Construction of the New Toronto Transit Commission, TTC , Steeles West Subway Station complete with a Bus Station for TTC. Sub Trades under Bird Mechanical that I managed, Sheet Metal/Ductwork/Fans etc. (Black & McDonald), Controls, BAC Systems, (Johnson Controls), Insulation of Piping and Ductwork ( Icon Insulation), Fire Stop of all penetrations (Pro Fire Stop). and various smaller Sub Trades, along with running the Bird Mechanicals crew installing the water, venting, Drainage systems in the new Subway Station. Other duties were ordering material, Producing RFI's ( Requests for Information), developing solutions to design flaws and submitting them for approval, and receiving approvals. I also attended meetings with our client, Walsh Construction Company of Canada, and TTC, planning and organizing the work loads of our crew. -

Calculating the lengths and the offsets to fabricate in one piece and lift up into place. -
