Marcus Sibley is the Director of Conservation Partnerships, Northeast Region for the National Wildlife Federation. He's also an Environmental & Social Justice advocate, who utilizes his speaking, marketing, and music background to foster meaningful partnerships that lead to lasting, tangible change. The Newark, NJ native is a Speaker, Leadership Development Specialist, and the architect of the Empowerment Workshop Series. A graduate of Rutgers University, where he received undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work, the former Family Crisis Intervention Specialist now continues his mission to effect change as a dedicated community advocate. He serves as the Chairman of the New Jersey Progressive Equitable Energy Coalition (NJ PEEC), and is the former Chairman the New Jersey State Conference NAACP Environmental & Climate Justice Committee, and the Immediate Past President of the historic Southern Burlington County NJ NAACP Branch.Mr. Sibley is also the owner and principal consultant of Sanaa17 LLC, and he's the co-owner of independent record label BMR LLC. Also a writer, poet and recording artist that performs under the stage name Walkin Contradiction, the former columnist for In The Spotlight Magazine will release his first self-published book in December of 2023.
