- Used Redux Forms field component and formReducer to take advantage of client form validation, error handling, providing a clean abstraction in order to refrain from writing an event handler that dispatches an action creator for each individual field value, while also creating consistent UX of forms across the application- Utilized the OnSubmitFail method provided by Redux Form in order to execute callback function upon form submission errors, thereby enabling the implementation of scroll to first error feature to provide client side form validation- Implemented Jest and Enzyme in order to create unit tests on React components that were connected to a Redux store by using mock object and comparing snapshots in an effort to provide a strong foundation for scalability and refactoring while enacting test driven development -Utilized the localStorage API to take advantage of data persistence between browser sessions to refactor sign-in process to conditionally populate the fields of forms in various components depending on login state in an effort to minimize server calls, hence improving the user experience throughout the application -Maintained and updated custom YAML content parser as a Content Management System (CMS) in order to convert and render data from YAML files into designated React components, allowing a straightforward and ordered workflow for non-technical team members to create and edit content- Provided technical training to junior developers in technologies across the stack through individual code review and whiteboard sessions to ensure engineering best practices. -Utilized the D3 library as a data visualization kernel to make calculations in order to render hierarchical representations of React components as nodes connected via path links in an effort to leverage the customization and granular control offered by D3. - Implemented React to take advantage of React fiber’s optimized virtual DOM and reconciliation algorithm to re-render UI components in response to changes in state in order to display component data in a chrome Dev Tool panel to minimize repetitive code and reduce unnecessary re-rendering - Incorporated Typescript on top of React in order to utilize static typing to provide functions with more definitive structure improving self documentation , readability, and to improve the speed of debugging while minimizing errors. - Used Jest to create test suites that utilized mock data based off converted React Fiber Nodes to enact test driven development in order to ensure accurate algorithm implementation while simultaneously providing a strong foundation for future refactoring, maintainability, and proper rendering - Devised a recursive algorithm that traversed a converted React Fiber Node tree in an effort to identify other components that contained user selected piece of state , changing display weights to all that did in an effort to highlight relationship of components in the D3 visualization -Created CSS modules with SASS taking advantage of variables and inheritance in order to improve scalability and maintainability of stylesheets
