I was set the challenge to build a new web based company that sells and refills ink through a network of newsagents. Working with young apprentices aged from 17 - 35, I motivated them to produce every element needed to bring the company to the forefront of this competitive industry. Starting this company has led me to work with business’s in china and the UK and maintain relationships with a number of different corporate clients. Although my job title has been business development manager I have been responsible for every aspect of this business from marketing to managing profit and loss. The company had a web presence and a steady flow of cartridges for refilling from 357 Service point newsagents in and around London and this network was growing daily. The staff I had been managing were difficult, some uneducated and also from troubled backgrounds. I pride myself on coaching these teams to success, the majority of my staff have gone on to find employment after their apprenticeship which they admit would not have happened without this valuable experience.Throughout my career I have dealt with customer complaints and difficult clients. I get personal satisfaction from arriving at a suitable conclusion that the client is happy with, even if they do not get what they want.
