As the business continued on its path of exponential growth it became apparent it needed to deliver customer engagement at scale to take the load off the customer success team. By conceptualizing and delivering on ‘Xero TV’ as a project, I was ultimately able to decrease the number of tickets being created, and curb the FTE growth in this area of the business. Unbelievably, I joined Stuff at a time when news video was just about to gain traction in New Zealand. Stuff had always been a frontrunner in digital news, adding large-scale video production was a clear next step and I took the business through this journey. While at Stuff video went from being the ‘nice to have' addition to a news story, to a must-have.
