Working closely with my team, we implemented a number of key technologies to improve our operations.First, we implemented configuration management using Puppet, allowing us to easily manage and deploy our infrastructure across multiple environments. This enabled us to quickly roll out updates and changes, ensuring that our systems were always up-to-date and consistent.In addition, we introduced system monitoring using Sensu, providing us with real-time visibility into the health and performance of our systems. As an Operations Engineer, I implemented technologies like FreeIPA and MFA to improve security and efficiency within our organization. To begin, I conducted a thorough analysis of our current infrastructure to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.To address these issues, I began by standardizing on CentOS 7 as our Linux platform. This allowed us to establish a consistent and secure foundation for our systems, and allowed us to more easily manage and maintain our infrastructure.Next, I implemented FreeIPA, an open-source identity management solution that allows us to centrally manage user identities and permissions. This greatly improved our ability to control access to our systems and data, and helped us to better comply with security best practices.In addition to FreeIPA, I also implemented MFA (multi-factor authentication) to provide an extra layer of security for our users.
