Founded in September 2021, Magic Eden has facilitated over USD2.5bn of transactions, amassed over one million users and generated over USD30m since inception. In June 2022, Magic Eden reached unicorn status raising a Series B funding round of USD130m at a valuation of USD1.6bn from high profile Venture Capital funds such as Sequoia Capital, Paradigm, Electric Capital, Greylock Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners.Responsibilities and achievements- Early employee in Magic Eden (employee c.60, company currently over 120). Expanded observable metrics from generic sales metrics to user/product metrics by product line; led sql organisation wide analytics sql training to uplift a data driven organisation, conducted data science studies integral for product and business decisions.- Responsible for creating, managing and maintaining core data pipelines; this includes transaction data parsed from the blockchain and web tracking data. - Data engineering work on reducing pipeline latency from hourly to less than 5 minutes, Worked on ensuring the correctness and Integrity of the data for data science usage and powering numerous production batch jobs.- Written an ETL pipeline to load and parse legacy data from a rapidly changing product. Combined this data with other metrics to remove erroneous values- Data science studies on users, market capitalisation and market profitability driving product features and enhancements such as rewards program. The analysis drove the design of the rewards program.
