As a Co-Facilitator of HUBBA's consulting fellowship, I work alongside my partner to set up weekly meetings for the admitted Black students interested in learning about consulting, attaining skills in business, and/or professionally developing themselves. In these sessions, we provide exposure to our resources and experiences as student-consultants, especially in the context of being an underrepresented minority in the space. My position isn't intended to be their teacher or something of the sort, instead, we want to be seen more as a resource that these students can use to help navigate their academic and career journeys. In these meetings, we really emphasize community and engagement, starting off with some ice breakers, presentations, and collaborative discussion for the first hour. Then, for the other remaining hour, we have them work hands-on on an activity/workshop related to the day's focus topic. Lastly, we'll give a small homework assignment for them to work on and present during the next session. The goal is to provide Black students with experience in consulting work and corporate practices so that they can be more confident and prepared when they are recruiting for these positions in the future, as we are a heavily underrepresented identity within the space and historically have had less access and exposure to resources that prepare us to thrive within it.

Built an internal SharePoint site, which includes a resources section for all employees to learn about their role in DEIB. Established relationships with local Bay Area universities and school districts to help diversify the talent pipeline and identify students for scholarships.Identified 20+ diverse, external conferences/organizations for Employee Resource Group members to attend that align with the company values.Partnered with Employee Resource Group leaders to support activities and programs that drive employee engagement.
