As Vice President of Sales & Marketing, I led efforts of an amazing sales & marketing team to meet and exceed our annual sales goals, while creating new initiatives to achieve our mission of creating an exceptional new home experience.

During my time at Newton, I successfully oversaw multiple clients andprojects to ensure client satisfaction, project accuracy, and manage both time and costbudgets. I worked directly with the client to develop ideas and strategy that will help markettheir businesses and be more successful. I managed multiple teammembers and projects, ensuring on-time completion of daily and weekly tasks; and assigntasks to multiple team members. I also wrote processes and policies to promote moreefficiency and accuracy.In addition, I created web and print content & press releases for Newton and clients alike. Imanaged multiple programmers and designers, sometimes across thousands of miles andlanguage barriers; oversee and participate in the implementation of multiple SEOaccounts with great success. Created and managed monthly web analytics reports forNewton and our clients. Research, coordinate and write bid responses to multiple RFP’sfrom state agencies and non-profit organizations.

At SCC Design Build, I enjoyed working with homeowners to determine remodelingideas including kitchen and bath remodels, room editions, flex spaces, patio remodels,etc. After initial contact, I determined scope of work, took measurements, collected bidsfrom contractors. I developed remodeling takeoffs, estimates, and budgets, and presentedbudgets to the client to close the deal and then expedited the sales paperwork to beginwork. I coordinated with contractors and suppliers to determine construction schedule,and communicated with client during construction process to ensure satisfaction, qualitywork, and timeliness.

Between 1999 and 2008, I was part owner and responsible for daily operations of thesales & marketing team. I built building budgets and successful gross profit margins, andcreated marketing and sales budgets each year with a focus on accountability and resultsdrivenactivities.I personally tracked & processed all sales contracts for accuracy & profitability, andworked with accounting almost daily to ensure correct balance sheets and P&L reports.From 2002-2008, I had the privilege of managing an award winning team of 12 salescounselors, and 10 Customer Care representatives. I also conducted competitivemarketing research reports, created new and exciting marketing campaigns every quarter,as well as new sales contests every single month. I also managed sales events, grandopenings & client appreciation events, while also working with outside ad agencies toproduce brochures, floor plans, newspaper campaigns, television commercials, pressreleases, etc. I also personally supervised construction of several new home modelcenters with a focus on design, sales flow, and ROI.In 2004, I set the vision for and supervised construction of a new website, which wonBest Builder Website from the Tampa Bay Builders Association in 2004, 2005, and 2006,and a National Silver Award from the NAHB in 2006.In 2006, I managed construction of a 4,000 square foot Design Gallery with the help oftrade partners on time and under budget, that increased revenue by $1.1M annually.When we began Smith Family Homes we closed 30 homes in 2000, and closed 350homes in 2007, with revenues in excess of $100,000,000. While the market growth wasexceptional during this period, I attribute my success to a strong sales & marketingstrategy, high quality product, and a focus on customer satisfaction needed to stand out intoday’s marketplace.
