I provide operational support for the implementation of hardware and software into the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) that aids the Joint Information Environment and Network Modernization initiative to centralize configuration management and standardize security implementation for the Army’s portion of the DoD Network Infrastructure. I was tasked to coordinate efforts, schedule and track equipment configuration and deployments, and provide license management support for those systems. I serve as the single contractor POC for the deployment of 53x Cisco UCS chassis, totaling $53K each. The following are a few of my day-to-day tasks:• Developed and maintain the Joint Management System-Army (JMS-Army) project schedule used to track the pre and post engineer work along with the entire logistics effort for sites selected for JRSS Migration and Technical Refresh.• Developed and maintains the Integrated Master Schedule depicting the contract level of effort as it relates to timelines, milestones, prioritization, and pending actions.• Coordinates license distribution efforts with Cisco vendor representatives• Collects JRSS site nominations and approvals from NETCOM G5 Plans for implementation scheduling• Coordinates engineer timelines and priorities for implementation planning• Collaborates with the Ft. Huachuca Installation Transportation Office to establish shipping criteria and review cost estimates• Provides cost projections and carrier information to the NETCOM G4 to procure funding• Coordinates logistics and initial engineer efforts for the JMS-Army with nominated and approved CONUS and OCONUS Network Enterprise Centers• Coordinates property transfers between various stakeholders of both the losing and gaining organizations• Holds weekly Capability Management and In-Place-Review meetings where we discuss schedule and make implementation recommendations for government consideration.

Performed manual software regression testing of the Global Electronic Approval Routing System 6 (GEARS 6) packet transfer application for the NETCOM G6. The GEARS systems is used throughout DoD to provide visibility and monitoring of individual packets and tasks, from submission to approval, while documenting associated communications throughout the paperless packet review process. GEARS 6, which has a more robust capacity and more intuitive features, is staging to replace GEARS 5. I performed the following functions during my day-to day activities:• Validate feature functionality such as file uploads, file edits from within the system, task assignments, route editing, and metrics formulation• Tested for SQL injection, buffer overflow, and unauthorized access vulnerabilities• Wrote bug reports of artifacts and validated the developer fixes• Reviewed the GEARS 6 CONOPS and TTP to provide feedback for developer edits
