Marcus Body Email and Phone Number
I've done a lot of EVP and Employer Branding projects (I reckon over 100 now from big global ones to small niche ones), diversity & inclusion projects, internal comms projects, engagement projects, specific recruitment attraction campaigns, purpose projects, values projects - but essentially if you're trying to communicate with or understand the people who work for you, or those you'd like to work for you, I can probably help.I've worked on big clients (internationally) in banking, finance, law, IT, telecomms, retail, fashion, engineering, medical/pharmaceuticals, governmental, non-profit, and a whole bunch of other sectors. Often I've worked on the strategy that others will be delivering, but I'm also a hands-on practitioner who can get stuck in on the delivery end when that would be helpful. Please do drop me a message on here if you'd like to get in touch - I'm a big fan of broadening my network, and I'm quite happy to have a chat/exchange of emails without giving you the hard sell - it's really not my style.

Solutions And StrategyThirtythree Jul 2022 - PresentLondon, England, United KingdomThis is a brand-new role, where my responsibility is firstly to make sure we understand what it is you're trying to achieve, and help you make smart decisions about how you want to do that. Then, it's about making sure all my colleagues are really clear on all of that, so they can bring their full creativity to bear on helping you get where you want to be. We're still not quite sure what to call the role though, so if you have any smart ideas, let me know... -
Head Of Brand And InsightTonic Agency Ltd Jul 2019 - Jul 2022London, United KingdomHead of Brand & Insight is an extremely silly way of saying that I did the research and strategy. -
Consultant - Brand & Insight TeamThirtythree Jun 2014 - Jun 2019London, United KingdomStrategy, research and insights across a range of communications and employment projects.Part of a team of five, I got involved in:1) Working out what the communications problem we were solving really was (not always obvious)2) Doing desk research or primary research (focus groups/interviews) to get any information together that informed that. Research can and should be for decision support. It won't necessarily make the decision for you, but it can definitely improve "gut instinct" decisions.3) Analysing problems and forming strategies to tackle them - sometimes moving into looking at tactical elements of that strategy, but often that would be more specialist colleagues.4) Helping to brief in other specialists to ensure we were delivering coherent solutionsTypical projects were in the areas of: EVPs/employer branding, diversity, specialist target recruitment markets, engagement, internal comms. (both UK projects and international projects) -
Research Analyst - Head Of ResearchWork Communications Jan 2007 - May 2014I worked in a variety of roles at Work Comms, gradually rising to become Head of Research in the Consulting team. The best way to illustrate the breadth is to say that in just one of these years (2010) I:- trained the HR team at CERN how to write for the web (which they invented...)- gave a presentation to the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health AGM to explain what "branding" is and why it matters as part of their rebranding project.- helped a technology company to improve their benefits package, and the way they explain it- designed and analysed an engagement survey for a housing association- re-wrote the external positioning for a government body (non-recruitment)- helped a major multinational technology firm to develop a global Employee Value Proposition (EVP),acting as a consultant/advisor to their internal team. -
