Marcus obtained his B.A. degree from Troy State University in Troy, Alabama in 1972, his J.D. degree from the Woodrow Wilson College of Law in Atlanta, Georgia in 1976 and was admitted to the bar in 1976. In 1977 Marcus established his first practice under the name S. Marcus Calloway, P.C.; in 1989 Marcus entered into a partnership under the name Ramsay & Calloway Title Services, Inc.; and in 1997 Marcus founded Calloway Title and Escrow, LLC. Since graduation Marcus has concentrated his practice in the area of real estate law with emphasis on commercial title examination together with the production of title insurance commitments, certificates and policies. Calloway Title and Escrow, LLC provides a full spectrum of commercial real estate escrow and closing services for many firms and individuals in the State of Georgia and the United States.Marcus maintains agency relationships with major national title insurance companies serving not only Georgia, South Carolina and Florida but nationwide. Marcus recognizes the complexity of commercial transactions and through the years has served his clients with accuracy and efficiency, providing his clients with an unequaled level of service. Marcus is a member of the real estate sections of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association. He is also a frequent speaker and panelist on real estate title matters and is active in Dixie Land Title Association and other national professional title organizations.Marcus is the proud recipient of The George A. Pindar Award in 2013 for his contribution to the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. Marcus, his wife Clea and his three daughters live in Atlanta, Georgia.
