I was a project manager at Dieffenbauch & Hritz (D&H) for 4 years. I helped clients develop site plans that met their operational specifications while balancing the requirements of landowners and regulatory agencies.I began working at D&H in 2012 as a Project Engineer. My primary responsibilities were drafting E&S and construction plans for well pads in the southwest Pennsylvania region. The company was growing when I was hired, so I was able to work with many entry level engineers at that time. My ability to work with young engineers and teach them design and presentation principles, while continuing to meet project deadlines and budgets, led to my promotion as a Client Leader in 2014. I permitted well pads, valve yards, compressor stations, driveways, road improvements, and approximately 100 miles of pipeline: all associated with the oil & gas industry. As I became more involved with midstream projects, my interest in how these projects are constructed continued to grow. I generally oversaw the layout of HDD and conventional bores and began working more extensively on proactive slip mitigation measures. Other aspects of my position included labor estimates and proposal preparation, site feasibility studies, permitting reviews, coordinating site surveys and environmental studies, and obtaining all federal, state, and local permits required for construction.

Jacksonville, Florida

I spent 6 years working with the Jacksonville, FL office of Genesis Group. My career began here with a summer internship that extended through the fall semester of my senior year. After graduation I came back as a full time employee for 5 years. I worked on a variety of projects at Genesis that highlighted many of the reasons I became a landscape architect. My favorite projects involved park planning, streetscape enhancements, and planting design.At Genesis, we often focused on design concepts and elements that were constructable, even during the conceptual design phase. This process allowed us to see many projects through planning and design, preparation of construction documents, permitting and contract administration.I worked extensively on the design of Cascades Park in downtown Tallahassee. I contributed to the conceptual design completed in 2004 during my internship. After I became a full-time employee, I worked as part of the design team that developed the construction documents for the new park. My most in-depth contributions to the park were the grading and landscape design plans.
