Husheng is a Chinese agricultural technology company mostly involved in pigproduction. Its core product/service is to provide turn-key pig farm projects inChina based on Danish technology.My major responsibilities covered identifying, communicating and recruitingDanish service and technology providers for pig farm projects of the companyand setting up a Danish registered organization named “Chinese-Danish PigIndustrial Cooperation”.I met with service and technology providers, managed contracts and insome cases drafted and negotiated contracts myself enabling the companyto actually deliver its core product.I was responsible for and developed marketing material typically handed outwhen meeting with customersWith my assistance, the company was able to get a few projects includingcompleting and winning a public bidding process for a very large project insouthern China (Guangdong).I was also heavily involved in the business development of the organizationand communicated with different stakeholders. I planned a visit of Chineseofficials to Denmark and worked on arranging a seminar. But, both werecanceled.

My work consisted of assisting the lawyers of the firm with ongoing tasks,including drafting legal memoranda and review and administration of cases. Iwas also involved in cases with big transactions (Mergers & Acquisitions) thatwere very work-intensive and required me to be flexible.In accordance with the company policy, I was able to rotate between differentdepartments and got experience working in several legal fields. These were inparticular:- M&A- Capital markets and company law- IP-law- IT-contracts- Dispute resolutionThe position did not only give me experience with legal work but also taught mein general how to do case and project work. This included administrating,communicating and delegating tasks and working close together with coworkers.The job was part-time (approximate 20 hours/week) and working there as amaster's student was a great opportunity to put theory into practice whilefinancing my student life and gave me the possibility to study and work abroad.

Furthermore, Igot experience with anything from arranging small meetings to hold largeevents. Finally, it taught me excellent communication skills in a busymultinational work environment.
