Marcus has worked with international sports governing bodies, commercial companies and healthcare specialists, to develop bespoke measurement solutions. In addition to research, Marcus leads the MSc Sports Engineering module 'Applied Measurement in Sports Engineering', has developed three applied measurement science modules for BSc Sport and Exercise Technology (levels four, five and six), and supervises several PhD students (DoS x 2, supervisor x 2, advisor x 1).Key projects:- International Tennis Federation (ITF): RallyTrack - a non-invasive single-camera system for tennis player movement and step strategy analysis in competition.- Sheffield Physiotherapy: 3D-Physio - a depth-camera system to capture / visualise 3D body scans. - Fédération internationale de Football Association (FIFA): International Match Standard (IMS) for Wearable Tracking Devices.- FIFA: field-based assessment of Video Assistant Referee offside lines using broadcast TV footage.- British Triathlon: TurboCam - portable system to capture and review training data (power, cadence, heart rate, projected frontal area) using ANT+ turbo trainers, high-speed and depth cameras.- New Balance: automated, non-invasive step strategy analysis of New York 5th Avenue Mile. -
