About Marcus Oliver Gay
At Blackfish Engineering, we are the Innovators' Engineer. As Commercial Manager, I leverage my 25+ years of experience in clean-tech innovation and commercialization to help our clients develop and deliver sustainable solutions for offshore renewables and the broad energy transition economy. I have a strong technical background in water-tech, clean-energy, and marine science, as well as a being a patented inventor and author of multiple technical publications.I joined Blackfish in Oct 2022, with 25 years experience leading market research, technology innovation, and strategy consulting projects in the US clean-tech and marine-energy sector. I have worked with pre-revenue startups and Fortune 100 firms to identify new opportunities and implement growth strategies. Most recently I served as VP of Product Development and Interim CEO at Resolute Marine, a US based wave energy company, and as the Executive Director of the NorthEast Water Innovation Network (NEWIN), the largest water tech innovation cluster in the US. I started my career as a scientific diver and dive medic in the US Arctic research program, and I am passionate about creating positive environmental and social impact through technology.
