About Marcus Goss
Marcus Goss is an entrepreneur scientist and inventor. Marcus has a Ph.D. in Material Science Engineering and Commercialization from Texas State University where he studied under Dr. Gary Beall. The focus of his dissertation work was the development of a novel desalination, ion-selective membrane technology. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry where he focused on nano-composite polymers and molecular self-assembly. Marcus has been employed in numerous fields in science and technology. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and has worked in communications, manufacturing, and materials science fields for over 25 years. Marcus was employed at Southern Clay Products (BYK-Altana). There he served as a researcher in the advancement of R&D in elastomeric nano-composites advancing the science of rubber nano-composite material. He developed many novel practices in processing and characterization of the nano-composite material. In 2009, Marcus joined Systems and Materials Research Corporation in Austin, Texas. Marcus worked as a researcher in a variety of technical projects under SBIR /STTR funding for the Department of Defense and other organizations. The underlying theme has been work on additives and nano-composite polymer applications. Marcus developed new materials and solved technical problems related to production of those materials. Marcus’ career goals focus on improving materials, production processes, and opportunities. Nurturing a strong entrepreneurial spirit and innovative ideas along with an eye for business, Marcus is poised to lead inside the laboratory and in business management.
