My name is Marcus Harvey and I'm the founder of Portland Gear, a company born out of my love for my hometown and my desire to share it with the world. As a child of the 90s, I grew up idolizing Michael Jordan, Nike, and the Oregon Ducks, always dreaming of a career in marketing and storytelling. I was fascinated by the intersection of sport, product, and pride and knew I wanted to create something unique that captured the essence of Portland.Since our launch in 2014, Portland Gear has undertaken some amazing projects. My @portland Instagram page has gathered a following of over 427,000 people from around the world. We've established multiple retail stores, expanded our team to include 25+ dedicated individuals, and shipped our products to every state in the US and nearly 60 countries worldwide. Collaborating with esteemed organizations like the Trail Blazers, Thorns, University of Oregon, Oregon State, OHSU, Stoller Wines, Breakside, TEDxPortland, and the University of Portland has been an honor, and we're especially proud to have overseen the complete rebranding of the Portland Winterhawks.
