Hand-selected for voluntary recall to active duty to lead a 200-person operational flying squadron through a cross-country relocation from Washington, DC to Washington State, and a transition to one of the Navy’s newest platforms (the EA-18G Growler). The move and transition involved relocation or reassignment of over 200 personnel, establishment of new maintenance and safety programs, and an intensive 18-month training and inspection cycle encompassing over 500,000 man-hours.•Leads and mentors seven direct reports, 26 Aviators, and a large organization with $400M worth of equipment and a $15M annual budget.•Sets benchmarks for readiness and operational efficiency. I implemented a focus on training and a quality control process that reduced cost per flight hour by 28% from 2015-2016 while increasing material readiness to a near-perfect 98%, shattering Navy standard of 75%.•Develops people and organizational culture. I focused the squadron on communication and work-life-balance. Squadron earned the Personnel Programs Excellence Award in 2015 and 2016 recognizing the top Navy organizations for developing and retaining talent. Outstripped Navy retention and promotion standards by nearly 30%.

Principal staff officer and second in command of a worldwide deployable organization. Responsible for cross departmental coordination; organizational lead for talent management, personnel readiness, operational safety, and equal opportunity programs.•Principal deputy leading five heads of department, and overseeing execution of a $15M annual training budget.•Drives success. Led the squadron through its first operational deployment following a homeport shift and a two-year transition to a new airframe. Squadron deployed to four locations in the Pacific in just over two months.•Creates outstanding programs. During it’s first full year of operations after transition and relocation, the squadron won a series of Navy-wide competitive awards in 2015 for personnel readiness, maintenance excellence, and talent management.

Responsible for scheduling and managing flight operations, planning, budgeting, and training for 26 aviators and five EA-18G aircraft.•Manages daily flight operations and training for 26 aviators with $10M annual budget.•Leads through change. Reestablished operations after a cross-country relocation involving significant staff transition.•Improves Processes. Wrote initial squadron Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Training and Readiness documents ensuring squadron was poised for success during first deployment in the EA-18G Growler.•Enables technical excellence. Qualified as an EA-18G Instructor; recruited and trained initial cadre of aircrew to stand up west coast operations.

L&W is a boutique telecommunications consulting, engineering, and project management firm specializing in the petrochemical and electric utility industries. Led a team of 40 engineers, technicians, and project managers providing design and implementation services for wireless communications projects worldwide. Portfolio included both project-based work and direct labor; microwave, two-way radio, voice, data, networking. Responsible for recruiting, training, and managing technical staff; oversaw scope, schedule, quality, and P&L on all projects.

Commissioned through Navy ROTC at Texas A&M University. I Flew the EA-6B Prowler from the deck of USS Kitty Hawk, and led a division of 40 technicians who maintained the avionics systems in the EA-6B. Diverse history includes long-term assignments in Japan and Washington, DC as well as combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Amassed over 200 carrier arrested landings and over 1000 flight hours in the EA-6B.
