As Project Manager of SUIT, Wolverhampton’s drug and alcohol service user involvement team, I am proud to lead a dynamic, peer-led advocacy service that has supported vulnerable adults in the city for over 15 years. Our work empowers individuals struggling with addiction to rebuild their lives, contribute to society, and make their voices heard.During my tenure, SUIT has been recognized as a European model of good practice by the Street Support Project (EU) and BeTrAD EU (Better Treatment for Ageing Drug Users). Our commitment to supporting those on their recovery journey was further acknowledged with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2014.I am passionate about driving positive change, supporting my team, and ensuring that the services we provide are shaped by those who use them. My goal is to continue enhancing our impact, expanding our reach, and advocating for those we serve. Let’s connect if you’re interested in community-led approaches to addiction recovery, peer support, or advocacy.
