Consultant, Favorite Part of My Day:Contracted to design and deliver equity and inclusion strategy and training for K-12, higher-education, nonprofit, and enterprise environment, I examine and teach DEI topics including identifying bias and microaggressions. Key projects included: • School Districts: I led faculty, staff, and leadership in DEI 101, bias, and microaggression training to better identify challenges impacting students. I engaged leaders in difficult conversations and activities, earning positive feedback from participants and continued requests for resources. • Legacy Membership Organization: I engaged the board of directors, leadership, and staff in identifying opportunities to connect with and recruit diverse future members. I created assessments and advised on branding, reputation, and marketing. I trained the board on engaging with diverse members while creating opportunities to improve discourse. • Statewide After-School Curriculum: I authored five after-school programs on diversity, microaggressions, and identity allowing administrators and teachers easy access to impactful resources for elementary, middle, and high school students.

Design and lead faculty training and professional development for the 116 community colleges in the California state system, including:• Design and deliver online and f2f curriculum focused on motivational theory and data, including learning mindsets, belonging, and student sense of purpose.• Identify and recruit 35 partner institutions; on-board faculty and staff to Motivate Lab professional development; support faculty learning and classroom implementation.• Assess faculty learning and behavior change, as well as student understanding of mindsets; measure outcomes for faculty and students, including persistence and completion in co-requisite mathematics and English courses.• Manage a project budget of $2.6 million to achieve improved outcomes for students in corequisite math and English courses.

In collaboration with Martin University and Ivy Tech faculty, I built the shared business curriculum and co-instructed business courses for students on both campuses. I advised the President and Provost on development of new academic programs and created a student pipeline for this Primarily Black Institution (PBI).

I was promoted to serve as Chief Accreditation Officer and provide vision, leadership, project management, and accountability across 19 campuses and 400+ locations with 7K faculty and staff serving 50K students. My team included 25 executives and staff with a $2M annual budget. • My work realized a 66% expense reduction ($135K annually) by insourcing faculty evaluation. • I created and implemented the Director of Assessment position to drive technology behind the scenes while coaching and empowering educators. I authored the business case, job description, and KPIs for approval.• I led 20 testing offices in generating $800K in annual revenue by collaborating with the Director of Testing Services to proctor third-party assessments, transitioning all assessments to virtual testing in response to COVID-19. • I directed the faculty promotion committee, assigning and facilitating review of 50+ faculty for promotion each year. I coached and guided 250+ committee members in promotion assessments, resulting in 150+ faculty promotions. • I improved critical thinking deficits within English classes by 3% through mentorship of curriculum committees to help them build assessments and rubrics. • I represented faculty leadership on the President’s Advisory Team for Strategic Planning, reviewing, and launching the new 5-year strategic plan in 2017. I developed, maintained, and monitored metrics throughout execution of the plan.

Leading a team of 25 in writing, editing, and maintaining policies related to admission, registration, curriculum, credentialing, transfer, assessment, and workforce alignment, I also served as system-wide Chief Assessment Officer for 19 campuses.• I represented vanguard work in credit for prior learning on American Council for Education (ACE) committees. • I developed, implemented, and managed Discipline Dialogues, a statewide faculty professional development program resulting in annual statewide meetings and professional development for faculty across disciplinary lines.

Directing a team of 10, I orchestrated development of the nationally recognized Degree Qualifications Profile portfolio and Tuning USA portfolio to ensure quality and portability of degrees and credentials. $10M annual budget. • I collaborated with European-based consultants to create a go-to-market (GTM) strategy that engaged faculty in individualized instruction to meet common curriculum requirements and ensure credit transfer. • I built and convened groups of state-level executives, funders, and university leadership, to support $500K+ in start-up grants for Complete College America (CCA) and the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment.• I represented the foundation by developing white papers to identify and vet grant writing concepts. Presented Luminas work at numerous national and global conferences and organizational meetings.

I increased enrollment by 60% by developing and implementing tuition discounts and scholarship programs. I directed academic advising activities while securing internships and funding from area pharmaceutical companies.
