Marcus is a partner based in PwC’s Assurance practice having spent 25 years with the firm. He specialises in assisting listed, private and public sector entities to solve their complex business and regulatory challenges. He has outstanding experience across many industries. Marcus has worked with numerous Australian companies. He also has considerable understanding of the US market having spent a number of years in our Denver office. During this time he worked with SEC registrants and regulators applying both US GAAP and governance procedures around internal controls over financial reporting. During his time in the US he was a member of the PwC Extractive Industries working group who directly liaised with regulators on accounting interpretation for the extractive industry. Marcus has provided services to clients in Australia, throughout Asia, Europe, the US, South Africa, and South America. Due to his diverse international experience he leads the PwC Adelaide China and Japan desks.Marcus is also responsible for the Adelaide office technical training and quality. He regularly provides advice on a number of commercial areas to clients and regularly conducts technical training internally. He also serves on a number of chambers of commerce, is actively involved with his children's school and is a guest lecturer on key topics at a number of tertiary institutions. In his spare time he is an avid golfer.
