As Principal, I have served as a leader of a state turnaround school with a highly diverse student population of about 347 students. Core responsibilities include the following:  Vision and Inspiration - Ensuring that the school culture is built on a solid foundation that exemplifies the school’smission and vision and inspires others to live fully into the vision with a sense of urgency and purpose Organization and Management - Building organizational systems that drive effective and efficient teams whosecollaboration results in excellent student outcomes Cultural Leadership - Setting school-wide standards of excellence for adults and students aligned with the network andschool mission and vision Instructional Leadership - Building and leveraging the capacity of educators to engage all students in meaningful,relevant learning opportunities through the implementation of a rigorous curriculum aligned with the Tennessee AcademicStandards  Strategy and Use of Data - Systematically monitoring progress, adjusting practice to meet established goals, andfacilitating procedures and practices that lead to continuous school improvement Talent Acquisition and Development - Leading in teacher recruitment and selection, implementing proactivedocumentation of observation and feedback to support employees prior to performance challenges, coaching teachers tocontinuously refine practice, and providing intentionality to employees retention and dismissal when necessary.
