My role as Financial Controller for Crescent Gold, a listed gold company in Perth, Western Australia, involved dealing with the many accounting aspects of running a producer and was an opportunity to gain hands-on experience on the client side which helped me attain a deep understanding of the needs of WA businesses, particularly in the mining and resource sector. During my time here I kept my close ties with the team at HLB Mann Judd and was enticed to return in 2009 as a partner in the Corporate and Audit Services Division.
