Made Smarter is a flagship programme aimed at helping SME manufacturers to better understand and embrace the opportunities that increased adoption of Digital technology can bring to their business. As a digital manufacturing advisor, I help businesses across South Yorkshire to identify the real barriers impacting on their performance, work with them to assess options - both digital and non digital- that could remove these, and provide independent support to access the most appropriate service or solution providers to remove these. With an extensive understanding of the challenges facing SME businesses, a well developed awareness of the local and national business support landscape and a network of contacts developed over 20 years working in the business support sector my objective is to help every business that I work with to enhance their potential.

The Help 2 Grow Management programme provides owners and managers access to high quality management training delivered by a number of approved business schools nationally.As part of the programme, participants are able to access 10 hours of mentoring support from experienced professionals and business people.I am delighted to add my name to the list of available volunteer mentors and look forward to helping support the growth of the participants that I work with and the businesses that they manage.

The Manufacturing Growth Programme is a £9.2m ERDF funded programme focused on providing support to manufacturing SMEs interested in growth. Established in 2016 the programme is currently looking to work with businesses in the West Midlands; Yorkshire; and parts of the East Midlands and East of England.Specialist Manufacturing Growth Managers are in place to offer SMEs the opportunity to access grant funding of up to 35% towards the cost of support projects.Awarded to the West Midlands Manufacturing Benevolent Fund (WMMBF) who have established the Economic Growth Solutions to deliver the operational side of the contract. WMMBF are a not for profit organisation established in 2002 with a history and passion for delivering improvements to the manufacturing sector.

Working to support the Business Advice function within the Sheffield City Region (SYMCA) growth hub through the delivery of advice and focussed support to the SME business community. Specific focus on helping ambitious businesses regardless of their sector to understand the key challenges impacting their business, developing and delivering client specific interventions and facilitating a pathway to access suitable funding schemes to support with innovation, skills development, leadership and management and productivity improvement as appropriate.

My role is to ensure that businesses with true growth potential in Derbyshire benefit from The Business Growth Service and specifically the GrowthAccelerator service line and that it delivers bespoke solutions to support a company to reach its full growth potential.
