After many years as a professional athlete, the time recently came to open the door to new challenges. Every good story has its ending, which also applies to the football adventure I have lived for the past several years. Knowing that a football adventure does not last forever, I pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Philosophy from CBS alongside my playing career. With the prospect of finishing my Master's program in Business Administration and Philosophy at CBS in Summer 2025, I am eager to apply my education in the "real" world. My life as a professional athlete has prepared me and taught me the importance of focus, determination, and discipline. I'm used to operating in environments that involve setting ambitious goals for both myself and my team, and committing fully to achieving those collective objectives. As a former professional athlete, I'm used to performing in high-pressure situations and to live up to what is expected from both myself, and the team I'm a part of. Through that, I have learned the importance of reacting sensibly and calmly to pressured situations, and focusing on the task at hand. Furthermore, I've seen how important it is to acknowledge personal relationships, not just business ones, for a team to perform in the best possible way. Balancing a demanding full-time education alongside my playing career has been challenging and has required many sacrifices. However, while struggling at times, I've had the discipline and the ability to structure my day and meet my deadlines both at work and in school. It hasn't been easy to balance, as mentioned. However, it has made sense to me to combine the two respective fields of study as I feel the same excitement and positive nervousness about my future career opportunities as I have felt every time I stepped onto the pitch of various football stadiums.At present, I'm enjoying my time at an incredible company, called Dawn Health. Here, I've been able to get to know multiple different aspects of the business, listening and learning from some of the best, while also having the autonomy to make my own footprint on some of our processes. I’m extremely excited about the future, as I'm looking foward to expand my knowledge within the fields of People & Cutlure, as well as Branding & Marketing.
