SilentSensors have developed a new technology to monitor tires that include such features as dynamically measuring pressure, temperature and/or tread wear. It also tracks wheel rotation and replacement without the “learning process” of what is where. It does so without batteries and at very low cost. Other features of the technology include a built in ID to provide traceability, a stored pressure history, temperature and pressure from outside via hand-held reader or using a drive-over reader (at 40mph), the ability to read tread depth, It is highly accurate. We have patents and have identified new exploitation areas such as smart containers.

The Eel produces rotational energy direct from the waves. It is simple, made of two steel piles, plus generator and possible gearbox. It floats, is moored and is designed to run in with maximum power all waves over 1.2m. 80% of waves are over 1.2m. This would have a 0.5MWh plate capacity. In quantity the levelized cost of power is estimated to £30/MWh, half that of any other generation green or otherwise.
