Marcus Vlaar is one of the founders and Chief Creative Officer at &RANJ Games. &RANJ is an award winning company specialized in the development of state-of-the-art game formats used for teaching & training, recruitment & assessment, and health & remedial. Marcus has been a pioneer in the field of digital media since 1987. In 1989 he co-founded animation studio Hootchie Cootchie, that produced one of the first entirely computer-animated TV-series, "Purno de Purno" (1989-2006), and one of the first location-based games using GPS, Codex Kodanski (2004). He has been active as visual artist, designer, script writer and game designer, as a game director for over 200 games, and has been guest speaker at World Design Capital Cape Town, Shanghai World Expo, Japan Prize, TEDxRotterdam, Eurovision Broadcasting Union Summit, ASD Kuala Lumpur, National Arts Festival Grahamstown SA and several universities.Specialismen: serious games, gamification, game design, digital media, creative thinking, innovation, storytelling, education, corporate training
