Product Marketing Specialist - 3D Printers
This was a new position to improve marketing for the 3D printing side of the company (CADD Edge was then a regional reseller but acquired by Trimech in 2016).Utilizing the resources of the manufacturer (Stratays) and collaborating with team members to execute on a range of lead gen, sales enablement, and customer retention activities. My favorite parts of this position are using a range of skills and getting to dive into a complex product line/industry and simplify the messaging to understandable features/benefits for our customers. From the start I focused lead gen—primarily with inbound activities but also driving physical and virtual events. The success of this (significant growth in both quantity and quality of leads) led to expanded activities and a push for marketing assistance directly to sales and post-sales.The work primarily involved content creation (blog posts, videos, and presentations), but included web, email marketing, and other cross-functional tasks.
Director Of Marketing
The construction software industry is crowded with bloated solutions that take on too much. ConEst instead focused on a niche, but does it very well. My goal was helping spread the word, getting new leads, and turning existing customers into repeat buyers.Accomplishments include several award wins, a new 20x20 trade show booth, and several new sales and training videos. One highlight was having a video selected by a large partner organization for use on their website for sales and training. My biggest accomplishment was simply been in learning the complex software solutions and the related industry domain knowledge to speak intelligently about these. My work creating sales and training videos required this deep knowledge coupled with the production values to create high-quality informational video content.
Marketing Manager
My time at ARC was a rapid ramp-up to learn about a complex product and industry. In the time of a few months, I created two white papers, a new trade show booth graphics (which I re-purposed as graphics for the corporate office), a new website, and new collateral for the sales team.A key success story was the second white paper, which was written with the idea of getting media coverage as it was very educational to the industry. It was published in five languages (I handled all aspects of production including remapping Chinese and Japanese characters back into diagrams) as the target audience included Asia. LEDs magazine ran the article without edits along with media outlets in Asia.
Marketing Director
My work for Sky-Skan actually began before I was hired. After speaking with the company, I felt that a great way to prove my abilities was to create an ad for their latest product. As it turned out, they loved the ad and used it as the center spread for the top industry magazine. It was a great start to what turned into an exciting time at this unique company.I was tasked with essentially building the marketing department from the ground up, starting with a 5-year plan. The company prides itself on custom, high-end theaters that can virtually take you on a tour of the universe, or inside a living cell. This capability was new to the company, which had sold theater components for nearly 40 years prior. One key task I saw myself doing was helping the company re-invent itself in the marketplace, one component at a time. My role in marketing was not only strategic as director, but essentially as a marketing department of one, handling all design, writing, and most administrative tasks. I coordinated several trade shows per year, including several international shows. I launched two new websites, one customer portal in 2007 and a new corporate site in 2010. These web projects are still in use today, with several hundred users regularly collaborating behind the scenes on content for their theaters.I am proud to have worked on several award wins for Sky-Skan, including Product of the Year for 2010 from the New Hampshire High Tech Council. This same product was awarded a Guinness World Record as the result of an idea I pitched to a client and helped them in the application.
Graphic Designer And Av Administrator
I joined WorkPlaceUSA to run their media presentation room, creating content, coordinating PowerPoint presentations, and making the meetings run smoothly.Soon after joining, my role began expanding as my supervisors saw my design and writing abilities, and how I could quickly distill complex concepts into a simple message. After the company returned to its original name, The Amend Group, I created a new website with a strong portfolio of lease and construction deals. As the company changed, my role again expanded to handle a variety of new initiatives. My favorite was as the web designer and photographer for a corporate bowling league started to network between Dallas executives. I created weekly updates on the internal website for the bowlers, complete with photos, scores, and a blog.
