Marcus is a native of Austin, Texas with over two decades of experience in state government - working with the Texas Legislature. He has a Master of Public Administration from Texas State University and undergraduate degrees in Government and History from The University of Texas. Marcus is currently a Deputy Director for the Texas Legislative Council's Document Production division. During his tenure, he has established, maintained, and expanded mission-critical relationships throughout the legislative community. He also directly oversees two distinct teams with varied functions. The Document Processing team performs the final review of draft legislation, processing all House legislation as it moves throughout the process and digitizing agency records for the agency archive. The agency's Legislative Delivery Assistants work throughout the capitol complex delivering drafts, legislation, and other documents in a secure and professional manner. He enjoys developing his team and helping them grow. Former staff work in multiple offices throughout the agency and the Capitol Complex. Marcus and his family live in the Austin metropolitan.
