As the Ops Officer of HQ BMTC, I held a pivotal role in overseeing the security, operations, and consequence management. Working closely with key stakeholders, NRUs and external contractors, I served as the central point of coordination and integration of information. I manage a team of Ops Clerks and Ops Specialists. My responsibilities extended to managing security and safety incidents, where I promptly prepared and submitted incident reports to GSOC while simultaneously addressing and resolving the situation on the ground. Staying abreast of the latest operation instructions from GSOC, I ensured compliance with incident management protocols and efficiently managed the ops room.Notably, as Security Officer-in-Charge for BMTC Graduation Parades, I assumed a critical role in safeguarding the safety and security of the event. Collaborating with various stakeholders including contractors and external entities such as SPF, 2PDF, and GSOC, I meticulously devised and executed comprehensive security plans. These plans encompassed assessments of the parade venue, identification of potential security vulnerabilities, and the implementation of appropriate measures to mitigate any potential threats.My ability to navigate complex logistical challenges, foster collaboration among diverse teams, and prioritise security measures has been instrumental in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of BMTC's operations.I take pride in my role as the Ops Officer of BMTC, where I continuously strive to ensure the highest standards of security, operations, and consequence management. By leveraging my expertise and commitment, I contribute to the overall mission success of BMTC and the Singapore Armed Forces.
