I'm a content producer, creator and copywriter in sports TV production with 14 years of experience in the field. As someone with a passion for storytelling, I'm a detailed-oriented communicator and writer. I possess the experience and time-management skills to thrive in fast-paced environments, and am able to multitask multiple assignments.After graduating from the University of Guelph-Humber with an honours degree in Media Studies from the University of Guelph and a diploma in Journalism from Humber College, I began my media career in 2007 with TSN (The Sports Network) as a freelance shotlister for SportsCentre. From there, I earned a TSN B.E.S.T. internship in my graduating year, where I worked as a Story Editor for 4 months. In November 2010, I was formally hired as a freelancer, and was then promoted to a full-time position 6 months later. My responsibilities included researching, creating and producing highlight packs from live events; multitasking various production elements; writing copy for news items; and working with our talent to package live and taped hits, all under hard-deadline time constraints for a live TV broadcast.In May 2022, I was promoted to Story Associate, where my primary responsibilities transitioned to creating and producing bumpers, stings, montages, Top 10's and other content for SportsCentre; creating and producing CHYRON boards and information/headline banners in the control room; performing Associate Producer duties such as control room coordinator; producing our 1V1 and Must See Moment segments; and correcting last-minute typos, errors and other inaccuracies before they went to air. The SportsCentre team was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Sports Program or Series.In April 2024, I became a Multimedia Content Creator, which merges Story Editor, Story Associate and Associate Producer responsibilities.Outside of SportsCentre, the content I've created has been pushed across TSN's many platforms and broadcasts, including SC with Jay & Dan/SC with Jay Onrait, That’s Hockey, That’s Hockey 2Nite, The Reporters, various control shows (2010 Vancouver Olympics, London 2012 Olympics & NCAA March Madness), TSN.ca, the TSN App & TSN Edge.
