Marc is managing the IATA Smart Facility Program providing an audit and certification scheme for cargo handlers, airlines, and other facility operators, driving the reduction of duplciated audit costs while enhancing handling capabilities to a consistently high standard across the industry. Further he is managing IATA's ONE Source, the industry platform for validated aviation service provider infromation, providing transparency and visibility to the entire transportation chain. From 2015 - 2019 Marc has been co-managing the IATA Future Air Cargo Executive Program (FACE) which supports the industry in attracting, retaining and developing young talent and preparing them to become the leaders of tomorrow. Previous to his current role, Marc was working on the regulations related to the transport of perishable cargo and live animals by air, collaborating closely with all stakeholders of the air cargo supply chain to build robust, save and secure industry standards. He was responsible for the IATA Perishables Cargo Regulations revamp project leading an industry group comprising Shippers, Freight forwarders, GHAs, Airlines and Trucking Companies with the goal to align the regulations closer with the operational needs of the supply chain. Before joining the IATA Cargo Team in Geneva, Marc was stationed at the IATA headquarters in Montreal, where he managed IATA’s Cargo Business Intelligence Portfolio CargoIS. Marc is holding a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Information Systems and Business Management and has been studying in Europe and Shanghai, China.
