As the Lead Storyteller and Game Designer for the Mycelium Youth Network, I create campaigns and adventures that explore the intersectional aspects of environmental justice and tie in local topics to maximize learning and fun. I serve as both a writer and a Dungeon Master/Game Keeper, and I run weekly games for youth. I'm also creating a compendium of past adventures, weaving different stories into one grand tapestry that will become a universe for adventurers to discover.We can connect through distance and time with stories, and when we weave narratives with each other, we can create powerful bonds that inspire creativity and curiosity.In our campaigns, players navigate through new and strange worlds while working together to confront injustice, organize action, and create genuine connections within the party and with characters they meet along the way. The adventures center around environmental justice topics such as community care and protection, food deserts, pollution, industrial development, health, and more.

I create worlds, characters, and narratives as I guide players through adventures, never quite knowing where they'll lead but always ensuring we have a good time getting there.

As a Sponsored Programs Administrator, I support the sponsored research that happens at Harvard by editing and updating awards via a grants management system and ensuring data integrity between contracts, agreements, internal software systems, and more.

Connected people to the gear they need to enhance their enjoyment of the outdoors and encouraged the discovery and exploration of new skills, places, and recreation opportunities. In 2023, helped to organize the workers at the store due to unfair working conditions, expectations, and evaluations. Store 80 successfully unionized in May 2023 and I remained a member of the organizing committee until I left the store over concerns of lack of diversity, managerial incompetence, and believing that REI as a corporation was not living up to its stated values nor did working there align with my values.

During the summer, facilitated programs on three different islands in the Boston Harbor Islands for groups of campers between the ages of seven and thirteen for the Harbor Discovery Camp programs. Developed new activities for pre-visits and post-visits, as well as programs for the Black Heritage Trail and for fall programs on Spectacle Island. Enthusiastically engaged campers while ensuring the program material was comprehensible and interesting for groups with age differences and different learning styles and abilities. Interacted with the public as well as parks partners to relay information and to run programs successfully.

Created and maintained relationships with student organizations, departments, and teachers/ professors at colleges and universities to educate students and faculty about the Outdoor Leadership Academy and the program's upcoming events, trips, and activities. Developed and completed trips and projects for college and high school students, ranging from outreach events to hikes to field trips. Recruited students from underrepresented communities to participate in these trips and events with the ultimate goal of increasing diversity outdoors.

Craft both great drinks and experiences, engage people in genuine conversation and provide high-quality, speedy customer service.

Sold smoothies, microgreens, and farm kits during weekly farmers markets. Educated the general public at the farmers market about microgreens, nutrition, and the growing process for microgreens

As an Outdoor Rental Attendant: maintained and inventoried outdoor rental equipment, instructed others on the proper maintenance and use of outdoor equipment, processed rental orders and contracts, provided customer service and professional communication to patrons, and created templates for surveys, emails, forms, trip plans, and our program newsletter. As a Trip Leader: Led trips to recreation areas in and around the Las Vegas Valley, including hikes to Red Rock, Mt. Charleston, Lake Mead, and Death Valley. While on these trips, facilitated group-building activities and ensured the safety of all participants and co-trip leaders and also educated participants on the geology, wildlife, and plants around them.

I designed service trips for university students, communicated with various types of organizations across the Southwest, facilitated site leader trainings on social justice and leadership, and presented information about our program to the student body via social media, on-campus events, and more.

I taught Ballroom Dance for diverse participants, organized dance events, and created a welcoming, inclusive environments where all could feel comfortable learning.

Performed dissections of snail and slug species, conducted research both online and in print sources from the museum’s collections, identified species sent to the United States Department of Agriculture National Malacology Laboratory, and wrote reports to be used by the USDA and universities.

As an undergraduate research assistant, aided Dr. Stark in designing and conducting desiccation studies on the bryophyte genus Timmiella, specifically operated the iButtons and collected relative humidity data that would be used to establish one of the main figures used in an upcoming publication from Dr. Stark. Crafted and edited background and methodology sections of a paper in the early stages of publishing. Currently working on the relationship between de-hardening and hardening plants to water stress.

DDCSP Program: attended presentations about different aspects of environmental science, policy, and diversity, and participated in field trips to places such as the Grand Canyon, the Grand Canyon Trust office, the Hopi Reservation, and Lake Powell.Internship: In a follow-up study on a research project completed in 2011, set up 30 meter transects in seventeen wetland areas on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, and used one meter square quadrats to estimate damage caused by bison. The team also counted bison scat along the transect to determine the amount and recency of land usage by the bison. After approximately three weeks of car camping on the North Rim and hiking with gear to the wetland sites, collaborated on a report that would be used as an information resource for an Environmental Impact Statement.

Identified plants, particularly grasses, in the field. Distinguished between native and non-native vegetation, entered data into Microsoft Excel and created data summaries and tables in Microsoft Word. Completed biological soil crust surveys, Boreal Toad surveys, grazing impact surveys, and characterized sites. Removed invasive Thistles, Mullein, and Hound's Tongue by pulling them out manually. Participated in Citizen Science trip to identify sensitive plant species and quantify impacts by ungulates, especially mountain goats, and humans. Surveyed Aspen stand to determine potential for regrowth.
