I previously was employed as a Legal Assistant for 15 years with 3 different attorneys in the Atlanta area. I managed their busy Family Law practices. My desire to finish my Psychology degree became stronger so I enrolled at Liberty University online where currently I have a 3.0 GPA (and rising!) and plan to graduate with my Associate's degree in March of 2019. My life experience and education have led me to my purpose which is helping women who have been victimized through physical and emotional abuse who are struggling with addiction and mental health issues. I have already established resources in Dekalb County where I live and volunteer for homes, jobs, treatment centers, etc. I strongly advocate CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) as a successful treatment and therapy especially for those addicted and tried other means unsuccessfully. I recently began posting answers in a blog about Narcissism on Quora online with positive feedback from the Psychology industry. I am very excited to find an internship and begin to use my skills to help others in any way I can. At this time, my ideal position would be planning events in a treatment center for patients or performing intake duties working the front office.
