I decided to shift careers so I am currently attending Bethel Tech studying UI/UX design, marrying my love and background in graphic design with tech. Although I left the design world to pursue education, design influences everything I do as an educator. Designing how my students interact with and work within my classroom independently. Designing visuals that provided clear and concise information. Collaborating with a team to create and design lessons that are user friendly whether it was face to face or through technology. Designing systems and procedures that allowed my students to navigate their day successfully. Creating creative solutions to problems that arise throughout the day as well as solutions to circumvent and prevent future roadblocks.This year as I prepare to enter UI/UX design, I will be working on mastering Adobe Master Suite, Figma, HTML, Javascript, Prototyping, design research, wireframes and user research. Hoping to take all the skills I honed in education and combine them with my new skills that I am learning as a designer to change people's experiences, companies and culture.
