Marcy Twete is a globally recognized leader in ESG, sustainability and corporate responsibility, known for her ability to drive transformative strategies across industries. Since 2018, Marcy has served as CEO of Veerless, a consultancy dedicated to advising companies related to ESG strategy, sustainability reporting and integration of sustainability into core business operations. Under her leadership, Veerless has grown from a solo entrepreneurship venture to a boutique firm of dedicated consultants with clients around the world. Together, the team works to design and implement innovative initiatives that deliver measurable impact while addressing complex sustainability challenges.Marcy brings to Veerless the experience of an in-house sustainability leader for one of the largest companies in the world. As Executive Director of Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility at steel giant ArcelorMittal, she led the creation of a globally acclaimed sustainability framework, which garnered recognition from the World Steel Association and the Clinton Global Initiative. She also oversaw the company’s inaugural Integrated Report, combining financial and non-financial metrics to enhance transparency and accountability, and elevated ESG reporting standards to align with leading global frameworks such as IIRC, SASB, and GRI.With an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, Marcy brings a unique blend of financial acumen and ESG expertise to her work. A dynamic leader with a global perspective, she has also shared her talents as a speaker with organizations including The Conference Board, BlueGreen Alliance, the University of Chicago, DePaul University, Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship, Society of Women Engineers, The Nature Conservancy, and more. She has served as a Board member at the Chicago Architecture Center, Girls on the Run Minnesota, Girl Scouts of Chicago and Northwest Indiana, and Step Up.
